Product recommendations

Every now and then Afinados shows a recommendations section: cards with third-party products (for example, courses and parts) that our curation picked and trusts, because we believe they are useful for people tuning and preparing engines. They only appear when there is something relevant available.

How we choose

Recommendations are not generic ads and not space sold to the highest bidder. Each product is hand-picked by Afinados' curation: only what we trust makes the cut, after we assess its quality and gather good references about it.

What they are

Each card is a suggestion for a product sold by a third party and works as an external link: when you tap it, you are taken to the seller's site, which opens in a new tab (the card carries an icon showing it opens an external site).

The notice that these recommendations are not Afinados products and may involve affiliation appears once, right above the section, not on each card.

Not Afinados products

Afinados does not sell these products and is not part of the transaction. Any purchase is made directly with the third party, under their terms. Delivery, quality, warranty and support are the seller's responsibility. We recommend them because we believe the suggestion is useful, but the decision and the risk of the purchase are yours.

Where they appear

Recommendations appear in a separate, clearly labelled section alongside the tools, whenever one is available for your language and for that screen. If there is none, the section simply is not shown.

Your privacy

When you click a recommendation, you leave Afinados and go to the third party's site, which may record the visit and use its own cookies (including an affiliate identifier for commission purposes). That processing happens outside Afinados. We do not share your personal data with these third parties; it is your click that takes you to them. Details in the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.
